I've never thought in my life that I would be visiting Jordan. I Mean, why should I visit it and I have Lebanon? This year, I decided to go to Jordan just to see whats there and to go to the dead sea! I am there now! the weather is really good, even now you'd have wind chill at night. sitting in the apartment's balcony, smoking Hubble-Bubbly(Arjeelah) just makes your day because of this amazing weather. i'm going to the dead sea on Thursday, and I'll back in Kuwait on Saturday midnight.

قسم العلاقات الدولية عام 2007، كما أنني حاصل على دبلوم في الإعلام من جامعة ميامي بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

أعمل الآن بوظيفة محرر أخبار في تلفزيون الكويت كما أنني عضو في جمعية الصحفيين بلا حدود العالمية. أقوم بكتابة عدة مقالات وبحوث منذ سنة 2004 وحتى الآن، فمازلت أكتب في عدة مجالات أكاديمية واجتماعية. وقد قمت فيها بتوزيع مقالاتي وآرائي بالجامعة الأمريكية بالكويت وبعدة أماكن أخرى بالدولة.

ولطالما قام أساتذتي بالجامعة بتشجيعي على ممارسة المناقشات الأدبية وخاصة في تأكيد الديمقراطية وحرية الرأي والتعبير. وقد أصبح اسمي معروفا لكثير من الكويتيين الذين وصلت لهم مقالاتي منذ عام 2004 حتى الآن.

وفي 19/1/2010 وزعت C.D لزملائي في الجامعة الأمريكية مما أدى إلى طردي من الحرم الجامعي نهائيا وتحويلي إلى أمن الدولة. هذا الـ C.D يحتوي على 11 ملف فيديو من موقع www.youtube.com. لكتاب وباحثين يتحدثون عن قضية محرقة اليهود المعروفة باسم الهلوكوسين. بإمكان مشاهدة هذه المقاطع على:

هذه المقاطع مقدمة من قبل كتاب وباحثين من مختلف الأديان يعارضون الفكرة، وحسب مفهومهم هي فكرة غير صحيحة، فهم لا يعترفون بأنه كان هناك أي محرقة.

أنني لست ضد اليهودية كديانة سماوية فهي مذكورة في القرآن ولكني ضد الصهيونية كأيدلوجية سياسية.

لقد تابعت أبحاثي هذه منذ 2004، لكن عندما تحولت إلى أمن الدولة أرغمت على التوقيع على تعهد بمنعي من توزيع هذا الـ C.D دون ترخيص ومنعي من التعبير عن رأيي بأي وسيلة كانت بالرغم من أن هذا يعارض المادة رقم 14 ومادة رقم 36 من دستور الكويت.

وحيث أنني قد ظلمت من الجامعة الأمريكية بالكويت وكذلك من وزارة الداخلية فإنني كنتو مظرب عن الطعام.

طلباتي أن يسمحوا لي بالاشتراك بمناظرة أكاديمية في هذا الموضوع وبالإضافة أطلب كتب اعتذار رسمية من وزارة الداخلية ومن الجامعة الأمريكية بالكويت.

- look to any discrepancies in what the person is saying.

- a person who's not lying should be relaxed, body gestures should be normal.

- a repetitive hand or body gesture might mean that the person is lying such as constantly rubbing their nose or touching their face.

- if a person is lying he/she usually looks left when they talk because they're making up the story while they're talking.

- i f a person is telling the truth, the eyes would be looking right.

-some people are professional liars, so concentrate to every detail they say, for example if a person says i went to a Japanese restaurant with friends, you have to ask whom are they? if there were some fillers in the sentence such as ahhh ammm you'll know that they just made it up.

- finally, keep on asking follow up questions until you're certain if the person is telling the truth or not.

لم أسمع قط بهذا الاسم قبل مقالته المجرحة لدولة الكويت و سيادتها يوم الأحد الموافق 11-4-2010

عندما سمعت أنه كان في لجنة الحكام في شاعر المليون قمت بالبحث عنه و رأيت أنه هو أحد الحكام الذي رأيته بالبرنامج قبل سنتين أو ثلاثة و لكن لم يثيرني اهتمام من هو هذا الشخص

بدر صفوق البعض يقول عنه أنه كويتي الجنسية و البعض الآخر يقول عنه أنه بدون (غير محدد الجنسية) و لا أرى أن معلومات أكثر من ذلك تهمني شخصيا

.تكلم عن الديمقراطية بالكويت و كيف أنها باتت بالفشل و أخذ يجرح شرقا و غربا، لكنه أنهى مقالته بجملة لا يصح أن تقال
!!!قال عن الكويت: أخيرا، البلد تسير إلى الهاوية منذ وقت طويل.. ألا يوجد فيكم.. حكيم
و استخف بمقالته في الكويت ابتداءاً من عنوان المقاله حيث كتب مجلس (البزران) الكويتي، طبعا هنا كلمة البزر تعني الطفل أو الجاهل
من يبحث عن اسم هذا الشخص أو من تابع برنامج شاعر المليون يعرف أن بدر صفوق هو شخص قليل الاحترام والأدب للآخرين
إذاَ ، إذا كنت أنت يا بدر لم تحترم الآخرين في برنامج شاعر المليون، و كنت تتلفظ بكلام سوقي و أنت كنت في لجنة التحكيم، فمن أنت لتدقق و تحكم على ما يحدث في قاعة عبدالله السالم؟
أريد أن تتضح عندك الصورة جيدا أننا و مازلنا في الخليج الدولة الوحيدة التي تتمتع بالديمقراطية كاملة أفضل من باقي دول الخليج العربي
و يقول المثل : اللي بيته من زجاج ما يحذف الناس بصخر

عتبي ليس عليك فقط، و إنما على دولة قطر الشقيقة و على جريدة الوطن القطرية.. عندما تكتب في نهاية مقالك ألا يوجد حكيم في دولتنا؟ فمن تقصد بذلك؟ علما بأن المساس بالذات الأميرية غيرجائز على حسب الدستور الكويتي المادة 54 . فثقفنا يا بدر عن من كنت تقصد في كلمة الحكيم و لا تنكر ان هذه الكلمة قد تنطبق على أي شخص في مكان او مركز سلطة في البلد لأن في مقالتك كل الكلام مفهوم و لاداعي للقراءة بين السطور. و لماذا لم يحذف من مقالتك المحرر آخر جملة علما بأن جملة مجرحة لأناس في السلطة لدولة شقيقة... كفاكم هجوما على الكويت سواء كان في الاعلام المرئي والسمعي أو المقروء في كل أدوات الإعلام القطرية

و عندما تكرر كلمة (البزر) أكثر من مرة قي مقالك عندما تتكلم عن أعضاءنا أعضاء مجلس الأمة الكويتي، فإنني أقول لك أن" كل من يرى الناس بعين طبعه" حيث أنت هو البزر "بعينه و علمه" حيث أنك كتبت مقالة في صحيفة غير كويتية خوفا من الذي كتبته علما أنك تعرف عين المعرفة أنك ما كتبته لن و لم ينشر من أناس مثلك... و أردد أنت هو البزر لأنك وقفت وراء نقاب الجريدة الغير كويتية و أنك لو تجرؤ لكتبت في صحيفة كويتية لكن هذه هي أعمال الأطفال ، يفعلون الغلط و يحتموا وراء آبائهم

يا بدر، اذا انت قد كلامك، أرنا شجاعتك و عضلاتك في الصحف الكويتية ال14 و لا تختفي ولا تقول كلام أنت لست بمقداره

A new Diet

I was at the Dewaniya on Wednesday and a guy is trying a new diet that is working with him. I would like to share it with you, since he took it from well known psychologist, but sadly i didn't get the name of the psychologist. its as the following...

- eat whatever you want

- do not eat unless you're hungry

- stop eating when you feel you're not hungry anymore (don't stuff your self just to finish your plate)

- nothing is forbidden unless you have a medical case like blood pressure, diabetes, etc.

- have small bites and chew'em for more than 20 times

- have awareness while you eat, for example: don't eat when you're watching a movie or not concentrating or what you're eating because you tend to eat more

- enjoy every bit of your food

- do not eat something for any meal just because its the only thing on the table.

- if you want to have junk food, go and have a meal, but eat it while being aware and take your time, you'll notice you're full and you haven't finished it yet!

This life style makes you eat and adapt to eating in a healthy way but not necessary healthy food..

The guy lost 7 kilos in two months and he's eating everything. if you do a diet, you're going to shock your system, and your system will shift in to FAMINE MODE. therefore, you wont lose weight since your system is withholding any food you eat.

im beginning this diet from tomorrow inshalla!

Hello everyone!

I'm finally back, after promising that I will be back four months ago. nothing has changed really in my life except i'm trying to be a positive person as much as I can.

Summer is already here, and people are heading to swimming pools & beaches to tan all day long in Kuwait.

Always stay HYDRATED when you're under the sun and keep a bottle of water with you at all time.

Maharish-Ayurveda talked about the benefits of water and why it is essential. I found what was said in PeacefulMoments website, which is a place where positivity, relaxation, and healing are promoted. the following was mentioned as a tip in their front page:

NEW YEARS EVE AND LATEST EVENTS IN LIFE

I CURRENTLY HAVE NOTHING PLANNED FOR NEW YEARS, LETS SEE WHAT I'LL DO ON THAT DAY!

I know I have been away for a while, this is because i needed a break from everything to re-organize my life. the first step i took is resigning for my current job. I believe that a person should be happy at the job and satisfied. If an employee is not happy, depression phases usually affects the person.

Current state of mind: HAPPY AND POSITIVE ABOUT EVERYTHING.

Enough about personal things.... I'm planning on changing the direction of my blog! I think I'm shifting to be a food/restaurants critique blog, although I'm not yet, so time will tell what I've decided.

I wish the very best to everyone on the upcoming year, and this is me telling you my fellow bloggers that I'm with new and interesting topics..

enough complaining about life as if I'm writing in a daily journal,, my future posts should react with you as a reader, so I promise that I'll try my best to do that.

I'm done working

Sitting at home, sleeping all day is better than going to work every single day of the week without producing any single thing there. At least, when you’re at home sleeping, you’re taking care of your health, and giving your body the enough energy needed from sleeping.

Is having a salary is really important than taking care of your health? I guess not. Organizations in Kuwait are still basic, and they need years and years of work to enhance the level of the work field.

It is very important that tasks are assigned equally and according to what each employee job description is.

I think I’m going to have a heart attack if I don’t do something useful at my job in the next few days. I will see how it goes, and will let you guys know what the outcome is.

كل طراق ب تعلوم!

المشكلة الي تواجهه في حياتك لا تخليها توقفك حدك، خلو هذا الشي إكون دافع لكم ان تشدون على نفسكم أكثر عشان تصيروون أحسن

واجهتني مشكلة قبل شهر، فاكتأبت و تكدرت وايد، بس بعدين اكتشفت ان ماله داعي أزعل، بالعكس، المفروض أعدّل اللي صاير، الزعل ما إفيد، الشي الوحيد اللي ينفع ان تلقى حل للمشكلة سواء كانت تافهه او كبيرة

لم أحط ايدي على خدي اوو أضيّق خلقي على الفاضي، أنا بهذي الطريقة قاعد أضيّع وقتي

فمن اليوم او رايح

A Leech than turned out to be a Mosquito!

I was talking about someone yesterday at work, who's a friend of one of our colleagues. He’s a person like leeches, the black worms that sucks your blood.

I said that leeches are good for the body for a certain time, but they hurt it if they stay on your body for too long.

When I told my manager about this metaphor and how he's like a leech worm, he started laughing about it. Today the friend of this "person" came to me and told me that my manager told him what I said about his friend.

He started laughing and I laughed too. He said what we really call that "person" a mosquito, comes whenever he's hungry, sucks blood and leave!

He also added that he has another nickname since whatever our company do he makes the same and wants the same and ask us to do the same! His other nickname is Taiwan!!!

Hahaha, amazing how people look for their interest only and forget what friendship is all about...

Hilarious!

yesterday, the third day of Eid, i went to the movies at Al Fanar movie theatre. the cartoon is called something something a chance of meatballs! i didnt quite get the name! thats not important, whats important is what happened next.

when the story of the cartoon was reaching its climax, something happened to the video screener, and the movie stopped! haha, imagine, a room full of viewers and suddenly no movie, it was hilarious. try Fanar theaters, you'll like em.

As for the first day of Eid, i went to Iltetto Italian cuisine restaurant. it was my first time trying it. the reason i picked Italian, is because i'm beginning to have a passion for this cuisine. not in the mood to give you a full critique, ill just give it a 7.5 for quality of food, and 9 out of 10 for the atmosphere and specially for the ashtray!

working hard enough is not the key to get promoted or to have a better life at work. pretending to be a hard worker is what makes you get to where you want to be.

thinking of doing something is not as powerful as doing it, so put your words in to actions

the keys to your success is in your hands, use each key properly and in the right key hole and you'll be ok

trying is enough, don't ever listen to a person who says: trying is not enough.

your own satisfaction is what is important in life and not people's satisfaction

don't expose yourself fully to your friends, enemies, family, and everyone else.

try to live life with one slogan, "everyone is an idiot, and in order to interact with idiots, you have to go with their flow and choice of words, topics, and thoughts.

conformity is never the key to stand out, say "right" for the right thing, and "wrong" for the wrong thing

its not the people that suck, or the country, it is actually the way we think that sucks!

سؤال محيرني، شنو المكسب ان تشوّه سمعة شخص؟ يعني هل هذا يخلي الشخص ان يحس ان أنجز شي من خلال تشويه سمعة شخص معين؟

في مثل اقول مع الحرية تأتيك المسؤولية، فصح ان الشخص حر في التعبير عن الراي، لكن لازم يكون الشخص عارف ان راح يسأل عن كل كلمه قالها بحق أي شخص

فمثال، العديد من الفضائيات يبون يتطنّزون على العديد من الشخصيات المحلية الكويتية، و يفكرون ان القانون يحميهم و مو قاعدجين يسون شي غلط، لكن لمّ هذي المسلسلات و الفضائيات قاعدين يشوهون صورة عامة الناس، من حق المتضرر ان يرد قضية رد اعتبار، يعني كشخص غلطان أو شركة غلطانة شنو ما يبون أحّد يوقف اللي قاعدين يسوونا اللي اهو الغلط بعينه ، و يبون اسوون اللي يبونه، لاااااااء !

يعني لا تتوقعون ان تسوون الشي و ما راح اصيير في عواقب على قذف الكلام على الناس او الطنازة او اللي اكون

يقول الله عز وجل" وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيمًا . وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا . رَّبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ إِن تَكُونُواْ صَالِحِينَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ لِلأَوَّابِينَ غَفُورًا" آيات جميلة

my goal is to lose 6 kilos in ramadan. some people might find it impossible to lose weight in ramadan but i find it pretty easy. every ramadan i lose 4-5 kilos. the secret is to limit yourself from having too much sweets, have a bite or two per day thats it. have a good fu6oor, then if you get hungry have an apple, then su7oor. you could have your su7oor from 12 to 3am. this way, with an hour to one hour and a half of walking everyday, it'll be easy to lose weight, try it and thank me later on.

Makan newspaper

Has anyone seen Makan newspaper?

I see that Makan newspaper is like any other newspaper but, it is being published on a weekly basis and not daily like other well known newspapers. the thing that is different about it, is every week, since they have printed and published their first copy, they are interviewing a bussiness man/women then publishing their interview in the newspaper on the front page of it.

I could see that this newspaper is concentrating on some economical problems. Although that this is interesting, there is one small problem. I think that they need to find a system for distributing their newspaper in an efficient way that it already is.

As a newspaper, free weekly, I liked how they approched the segment they are attracting, concentrating on the entrances of malls and providing copies through out the whole week in starbucks coffee shops. beside that, they are seeking to expand the number of newspaper copies they are delivering to companies and specific business people every week.

around 50,000 copies per week are being printed, and therefore 200,000 copies per month, which is an excellent number for a new weekly newspaper.

look at this weeks makan newspaper at any starbucks coffee branch, and look at the last page, you'll find an Ad about Arkan Mall, which is owned by the company i'm working in, Shuwaikh Gate Holding.

Afghanistan elections is close, and I am a bit excited to see who's going to win with the most public vote. This elections is going to show what the population of Afghanistan really wants. As the secretary of state Hilary Clinton mentioned, this election is Important during this time of war in Afghanistan.

Now, what would happen if the public vote of the population didn't meet the expectations of the US, and the United kingdom. Would the same thing that happened in Palestine with Hamas religious/political group happen in Afghanistan?

The majority of seats in the parliament of Palestine was taken by Hamas with the help of the public vote, but the western world refused the fact that Hamas won, although the elections represented what the population really wants....

Those are some thoughts that I am currently having these days, please share your thoughts with me!

Irritating stuff

I can't get anything done at work. Employees from all around the company is calling me every minute asking for something that's has to do with marketing, PR, advertising or the company image.
On top of doing multiple things all at once, other tasks are being handed in to me every minute or so with the expectation of having it done on the same day.

Today I have worked for almost 11 straight hours with no breaks, jumping from one task to the other, and from one meeting after the other.

At the end of this day, I'm tired exhausted and done!

I've finished most of the tasks that were required today hoping for a relaxing day tomorrow which I doubt that its going to happen..

I know I haven't blogged for a while, bas because I'm so busy with life and work, and when its the weekend, I do not want to even touch my laptop.

أتيت بعد غياب قصير، لأحكي لكم قصتي في الأيام السابقة من منظور غريب. قبل سرد ما يحدث في هذه الأيام، أرجع إلى يوم ولادتي، حيث ولدت مع مرض الربو، الذي يصيب الصدر و الجهاز التنفسي مما يؤدي إلى ضيق بالتنفس. من حسن حظي توقف هذا المرض المزمن في عام 2000م

قبل أربعة أيام، دق باب بيتي صديق قديم يصرخ يصوت عالي، هرعت لفتح الباب ألا بصديق الطفولة يقف أمامي بابتسامة وراءها الكثير من الذكريات. عانقني بحرارة و قال لي: اشتقت لك، وصمت، لم يقل شيئا بعد هاتين الكلمتين و لكن ظل يعانقني يأقوى ما عنده مما جعلني أدرك أنه جالس لمدة طويلة هذه المرة

بغد غياب ما يزيد عن 9 سنوات، من دون أي مقدمة،حضنني و عوضني عن ما فاتني من تسغ سنوات في 4 أيام فقط

The Moral Of This Story:

Nothing is totally gone, it will always find a way to come back, even if you detached it from your life.

my alternative

i've decided to have an alternative for my lunch everyday, the alternative is the special K bar, i thought inna since im doing a healthy diet, i need something that has low calories but can keep my energy levels high. the special K bar has 90 calories/bar (15calories are fat), 1.5grams of fat, 17g of carbs of which 7 grams are sugar, it contains niacin, thiamin, vitamin b6 and riboflavin. this cereal bar net weight is 22grams.

it has three flavors, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. i personally prefer vanilla, but i heard that there is one more with peanut butter flavourings.

the best things while dieting is you constant change that you have in the meals that you're having.

the hardest week is the first and second one, but after that your stomach and body will get used to the new life style that your having...

IM WALKING TODAY WITH MY SISTER AT 6PM IN SURRA, TRY TO FIND SUPPORT IN YOUR FAMILY SO YOU CAN STAY IN THE DIET AND NOT GO BACK TO THE OLD HABITS.

starting a diet from tomorrow

im so excited that im strating a diet from tomorrow, and a group of bloggers are too,,

Dandooon had this great idea of openning a support group/blog, and from there we would each present our diets and then we choose the one we would try...

check her blog for further details, the blogs name is slimpossible!

this is the diet:

Breakfast
Fat-free cheese with brown toast - alternatives would be sylphide cheese, light labneh, and with cucumbers and tomato, the toast has to be toasted to get an amazing delicious taste.

Lunch
Salad - you could have any kind of salad as long as it does not contain cheese, pine nuts, or bits and pieces of bread, and the dressing has to be a light vinegar dressing or a balsamic vinegar salad (lunch can be substituted with The Special-K 'kellogs' bar that you can get from sultan center )

Dinner (before 6pm)
Steak/chicken/fish with salad or veggies - all kinds of fish, meat or chicken has to be grilled or steamed but not fried nor breaded, as for the veggies, you could have steamed vegetable, raw veggies and all kinds of salads, from tabouleh, to fattoush etc. when you change the type of food that you eat every day you wont get bored from this diet

NOTES:
Walk everyday for an hour
Eat fruits if hungry after 6pm - but not a lot, an apple would do, preferably (tuffa7 bu-fsaiwa!)

Addition:

it is preferred not to drink canned juice as it contains a lot of sugar, orange juice would be fine, stay away from sodas, if you are having a sweet tooth, have 3 dates(tamir) after dinner or lunch

control the food portion, for example, when you have a plate, 2/3 of it is a salad or veggies and the 1/3 left is for the meat/chicken/fish(yidaaam)

i woke up today, decided not to go to the inteview since i prayed '9alat ilisti5ara'!

went to work and i had my normal working hours from 9am to 5pm

after work, i enjoyed the company of my friends at a lounge, then had dinner at Maki burj jassim and went back home..

i love lunges and cafe` in kuwait, and specially quiet ones. i feel like they're the only get away place i have i kuwait..

i feel bored as there is nothing else to do, well not that much!

ghair hatha mafi shy thani..

a part from my personal life, i hope the next elected parliament is as good as we NEED it to be! if its not, well there is going to be a huge problem since i believe that this is going to be the last parliament and if things does not go out well, we will have an unconstitutional dissolution (7al ghair distoori)!

hope people have well thought which candidate best deserves their votes, as it is crucial for this Parliament. keep tribes, family, and political parties a side and just vote for the right person

la2 la2 il akil maqlab istaghfarallah, i've been eating sushi since i was in grade 4 (9yrs old) and this has been by far the lowest quality i've tasted.

yes, Maki restaurant is good in its own way where they introduced their fusion ideas in to their makis, and incorporated what the current market and people is eating and made it based on customer wants.. so basically they are relating to the customer

Kei is considered the best from my own point of view, and then comes Sakura and Wasabi. they are what i call a typical sushi/ japanese food resturant.

IM SO SAD TO SAY THIS, BUT Sushi-kw TASTED EVEN WORSE THAT SUSHI CLUB RESTAURANT.

it had nothing creative about it, and one of the sauces felt like it had so much smoked cheese, i can even tell you what kind of cheese it was since it was so strong.

i wish them the very best, bas an adivce would be the following:

either you stick to original sushi , or if you are deciding to have fusion makis and sushis, you should really think what best goes with the makis you're creating.

have something chithy delicious yet simple... try for example a roll that has crab, salmon, avocado and ginger, then the outer layer should be rice with just a hint of caviar, that would be amazing.

becareful when using the tar tar sauce as it does no go with everthing and everyone's taste.

add a bit of salt to the edamame after straining it from the boil

all of your maki tasted almost the same, try to have a signature taste for every maki to make it unique than the others

try not to put a lot of avocado in each maki as it makes most of the taste of the makis the same

last but not least do the following: a maki that consists of crunchy shripms, on top would be shredded crab with caviar, as for the sauce, it should be a spicy sauce, it doesn't have to be something so complicated, a simple sweet chilli sauce is just a solution

i wanted to go to DJ Vendetta, when i arrived there at bahrain's international circuit it was horrible, it was 90% guys, and the place was smelling so bad so we left!!!!

we left and went to another fun quiet place which was much better. lounges and coffee shops are the best things you could ever go to when traveling or even when you're in kuwait..

i feel hurt, a lot of things has happened this weekend that made me the way i am now... i am feeling down and hurt and depressed and everything at the same time..

i get so angry when someone makes a big deal out of nothing, ya3ny tinba6 chabdy lamma i do something out of good heart and good intention ba3dain the other party understands the word or sentence you've mentioned in a totally different way or even throw a coupe of words at you that really feels like someone is sticking a knife in you stomach and twisting it more than once.

ilmoshkila inna i would never say anything that would hurt a person, yes sometimes i do throw some words while im joking but never in a serious way.....

it is not the kind of places im used to go to everyday, it was cheap and had low standards li darajat inna im not going back there again. awwal oo a5ir marra.

i didn't have time to sing and have a fa9la moment in my life and thank god i didn't because the place again is unbearable!!!

another kashtaaaaah day?

so this how it did go,

Arrived late to our kashtaaaah place in abdili at like 4ish, had lunch before that in the mazra3aah.

Drank tea, had some sweets and enjoyed the sunset. Then we light a fire. When it was time to go, our friend abdalla moved the car in a wrong way so our car got stuck where it was aroud 10pm.

Er went to the fire station and asked for help! Three people came and helped us get our car through their creative wayys.

The funny thing was ina they directed a prank on us where they pretended ina they were in a fight and one of'em took his pistol out and started shooting at the other guy. We got so scared bas they started laughing so much, 7ada we were punk'd! Later on we went back to the station with them had some teas and snamcks and played some baby foot and had some chats here and there with them. Theyy are good people mashalla! Yhad whilst we were leaving they asked us to pass by them next weekend because they feel so bored there and apparently we were fun hahahaha!

شنو الفايده من حل المجلس

يوم الأحد وصلتي أخبار أن الأربعاء راح يحلون المجلس حل دستوري و فعلا صار هذا الكلام. لكن السؤال اللي محيرني و أنا مو خبير لا بالسياسه و لا غيرها شنو فايدة الحل إذا كان نفس النواب راح يرجعون و نفس التأزيمات راح تصير. هل هذا الحل الدستوري تصبيرة إلى أن يحلونه حل غير دستوري في 2010 وهو من المتوقع ان يصير هذا الشي؟

إلى أن يتغير تفكير الناخبون و الناخبات في طريقة اعطاء الصوت لمن، المنتخبين ما يقدرون يتكلمون و لا يقدرون اذمون في المجلس. لأن هذا هو اختيارهم. إلى الآن أشوف جدام عيني الناس يتناقشون شلون هذا بعطيه لأن من الطائفة الفلانية و هذا بصوتله لأن أبوه يصير حق يدي ولد عم خالته (يا خل أبوي حك ظهري) ما راح نخلص

نبي نتفق على التركيز على 5 نواب من كل دائرة، نواب يكونون اصلاحيين لا ينتمون لأي تجمع ديني معين و لكن بالامكان ان يكون ينتمون حق تجمع سياسي اصلاحي لا يتأثر بقرار جمعيات أو مفتي أو أي شي آخر

قد يعتبر البعض ما كتيته تافه و معاد أكثر من مره و لكنه من باب التذكير، ولكن بما أن الانتخابات الجايه ان شاء الله الكل يصحى و يبطل عينه عدل و اعرف يعطي صوته حق منو. أكتفي بهذا القدر

i went to the chalet this weekend, it was hectic yet fun, a lot of things happened which made me have a lot of fun... i discovered something, i suck at janjifa(playing cards)!

i taking my gastric band(ta7zeem, 7alaqa) off next thursday so i'm a bit excited and a bit worried on how am i going to maintain my weight! i'm not so scared of the actual operation rather the needles and the iv im going to have before and after the operation, im so afraid of'em!

my goal now is to reach 85 kilos of weight and i am now 91, so it is not difficult to lose what is left. i decided to give my self till the end of may to lose the 6 kilos 3ala ilra7a, so i can maintain the weight i lost and not gain anything back. the crucial part of losing weight very fast like i did is to try as much as possible to eat very small amounts of food in every meal and stop at around 6ish pm everyday to give your body the time to digest the food and not sleep with a full stomach

i felt something was missing, the day i left the blogsphere. therefore, i had to come back, as soon as the load of work and not having enough time for the internet finished.....

enough said, i started losing weight again and eating healthy well portioned food... im feeling good again, partly the depression came from me having the knowledge that i was gaining weight and not doing anything to fix it.

struggling with maintaining the weight is so difficult, bas i am trying my best to incorporate exercizes with a healthy way of living and eating

last friday i went for a KASHTAAH in Abdili. we went to this great area where we sat at the top of a hill and had lunch which was machboos with laban, then we had some tea, coffee, 7alwah, rahash, and tamriyah. we wanted to stay only till sunset, but since the weather was spectacular we stayed till night singing om kalthoom, drinking tea, and sitting beside the fire.

the best thing that i really enjoyed there is the perfect sky and sand which made me walk barefooted throughout the whole Kashtaaaah. we jumped and laughed and have done everything we could think of. im seriously thinking of doing it again next week.

this might be my last post in february, so lemme tell you few things before the end of the month.

i have to tell you guys the truth, i've been lying to myself that im fine and im fit, but thats not true.... i gained 5 kilos! it is now time to go back to my original diet... i could make my gastric band smaller and lose weight easily bas thats not a long term solution to keep a normal weight. im currently 95kilos of weight and from today, i've decided to lose 10 kilos by the end of april, im going to take at ease, bas if i lose faster i dont mind

i might job hunt again, not sure if i quite like the working environment and the restrictions that we have where no decisions can be made from the marketing department what so ever. i feel like im in captivity from 9 to 5, 5 days a week!

as i have promised, it is now time to reveal the what was the gift...

we've been thinking about what to give him for some time now and nothing good came on our mind. on thursday, when i was at work, i was looking at airlines ticket then i called my friend hamad and asked, how about we surprise nasser on saturday by going to lebanon for few hours? so, he was up for it and so was I!!!!!

we arrived there in lebanon at 1:45 and since we had no luggage we were able to leave the airport fastly. went to nasser's apartment and rang the bell where he opened the door and OF COURSE HE WAS SHOCKED AND UN-ABLE TO SAY A WORD WHERE WE WISHED HIM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

shraykum? mo 3ajeebeeeeen? insafir 7ag youm wa7id 3ashan nitghadda oo nig3ad ib gahwa with our friend?

il mohim we had so much fun with him and in lebanon! :P i love this country honestly!!!!

we had to go back to the airport at seven pm their time, so basically we had about 5 hours of happiness with our friend!!!!!

Well, my friend is in Lebanon currently, and the only way to give him his birthday gift is through FedEx!!! his birthday is on Sunday, but the gift is going to arrive on Saturday to Lebanon to his door step, I know you're reading this Nasser, so please stay at home waiting for the gift to come, it’s going to arrive between the hours of 1:00 to 2:15pm...... the gift is so worth it!!!

the gift is 3ibara 3an two gifts wrapped in one from me and Hamad.... it is a basket and the basket is wrapped, so you have to open about 3 layers to see the gift... I’m so excited!!!

Last year, the gift was a gift basket too and the idea was inna we put everything that he liked in one box. of course, last year's gift included a voucher for men spa massage, his perfume of the year, mwwash ribyan, ightaaar halaga imlawwina, two plants, health patches that absorbs the bad toxins in the body and a lot more...

This year's gift is a lot simpler yet more sentimental!!! I can’t say what the gift is because he reads my blog, so on Saturday night I’ll be writing about the gift.

i woke up today, and i have a headache and some stomach ache along with pain in my eyes... enough about me complaining how i feel grumpy....

who likes 'little Britain'? i do, im actually addicted to it, specially the narrator voice which is so deep...

im working today out of the office to view some sites that my company is building and we as a marketing department has to market....

so, i think im back on track, this is my second day of eating as a normal person and not like a pig!!!

my friend told me that my sister is traveling on may to Lebanon so i think bagi6 wayhy and im going with her!!!

a trip to Bahrain next weekend 25 26 February is under planning, and hopefully everything works out well for me and this trip. a three days trip is just amazing

my gift for bloggers in valentines

hello! happy valentines y'all, im going to bidi3 at 7pm to celebrate valentine ;P so here it goes without any further introduction, im going to put the recipe with the method, then put the picture. i got how to make a consistent butger out of the internet and added few things to it. im not much of A photographer so bare with the pictures

Ingredients

10g Butter

75g onion, finely chopped

450g minced beef, i got new zealand 25% fat beef

0.5 tsp oregano chopped

0.5 tsp Parsley chopped

1 egg, beaten

1 pinch fine sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

4 tbsp olive oil, for frying, i got french olive oil

semi sun dried tomatoes

Blue cheese, i wanted gorgonzola cheese bas couldn't find fa i took another blue cheese brand.]

French dijon mustard

balsamic vinegar

Method

1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, and add the onion. Fry over a gentle heat until the onion is soft and very pale golden. Leave to cool.

2. Mix the mince with the herbs and egg, and then season with salt and pepper. Add the onions, and mix.

3. then shape into hamburgers. each hamburger make it in to two slices and put the blue cheese in as a filling then close the edges. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for several minutes on each side.

4. Split the bun horizontally. Fill the bun with lettuce, the semi sun-dried tomatoes, 4 drops of balsamic vinegar, and french dijon mustars.Pop the hot cooked burger inside, and serve immediately.

i woke up in the morning with this amazing migraine headache. i barely finished everything on time, from shower to changing etc.

i was wearing my sunglasses the whole time while i was getting dressed for work. its been thirty minutes since i got to my job at 9am, and im still wearing my glasses....

im one of the first ones that arrived to the company today, it is still quiet, im guessing half of the employees are not here yet, bas thats ok, real work starts at around 12:30 to 1pm.

although its not hot yet, i believe that i can tan next weekend from 9 to 5 just to absorb a light colour. i dont tan because i love the color, but i actually do it because i love the process of just sitting and melting in the sun!!!

so i was just having brunch couple of minutes ago when the CEO walked in... hahahah i was eating tabouleh, ishatahaaait sala6a.. ilmoshkila il bab kan msakkar chan edar3im so i looked funny eating then stopping to eat and putting the tabouleh on the desk and closed it until he left.

ghair hatha, as dana requested, yes people started asking me what perfume im wearing hahahah :)

today, must go to Astra Lounge its been a while, i think im going there today but im not sure. i kinda miss my friends, i miss university days and seeing them on a daily basis, although i am seeing them almost everyday but not as often as it used to be.

i want a game that i can get addicted to, playing for hours and hours and hours. i think im getting a gameboy or whatever they call it these days, to make myself busy at home.

since i've heard so much about this perfume so i got it thanks to dandoon

desertpalms-F: i smelled YSL L'Homme and i liked it, but im gonna buy it in april, beginning of summer because it works best with kuwait's weather and sun in the summer, im also buying Dior L'Homme

today was my first day in my Diet and i consumed 1500 calories which is not bad if im mainting the weight or doing some exercize. i wanted to exercize today but i cam back home late and im so tired now...

the problem is my work finished at 5pm and after that i wanna go home and have lunch then rest for a bit, when its 7 i go out and i come nack home at approximately 12,, so then im so tired and mali khilg even to have a bite of food.

i gained 3 to 4 kilos in jnauary and i need to lose them fast, i do not want to be obese again, having lived my whole life as an obese, it is scary to feel that i might go back at any time being over weight and not healthy plus all the depression and unhappiness that comes along....

from tomorrow im having one meal per day, until i lose the weight then ill see what healthy way of eating best suits me to maintain my weight...

im going this weekend to buy M7 ysl perfume that Dana mentioned a lot, i must see what her "thouq" is like in men's perfume..

I had a good weekend where i went to MAKI twice(although not a big fan of it but rather a fan of Sakura, Wasabi, and KEI) and to several other places for lunches and dinner.... the weather was just amazing today at 3pm when I had lunch at Maki marina and sat outside watching the little ones do the rock climbing thing...

I ordered Lost series season three and four to catch up on season five, I stopped watching it about 2 years ago where i got busy with university and just forgot to watch... the best thing about it is that the guys comes to your house and deliver the CD's, how great!

the thought of taking masters is coming back to me again, if I go inshalla, it might me next year(2010) in January at Middlesex in London, or in April at Aberdeen university in Scotland.

Has anyone tried iltetto Italian restaurant in marina waves? I’ve heard so much about it, some people said it is good bas today my cousin went there and did not like it... galat inna ma yiswa killish!!! If you tried it, please let me know.... I’m gonna try it anyway bas i want someone to give me an overview of the place.

I have few friends in real life, and I mean very close friends, and just today I have decided that I’m happy and really satisfied and il7imdilla I do not need to know more people.. 6ab3an it doesn't hurt to get to know new people and become new friends with them bas I’m sticking with this crowd that I love and can't bear to lose!

in school segregation

I arrived early today to my job, so i thought that this is the best time to write the post, since i'm going to be busy all day... i promise to check your blogs tonight...

Why now? Why did they decide to segregate now and implement it in the last few years? Why not from the beginning? What made them take this decision?

Those are all questions that I’m eager to know the answer for them, but unfortunately, since there is no studied plan for implementing segregation, I don't think that there will be good answers to the questions that I have...

Ok, so you (whoever you are) decided to segregate, that’s fine, I don’t really mind, but why not segregate the work field too.. The reason behind the segregation law is to not mix both genders in one place.

so how come we(in the private sector) after graduation, we work in a co-work environment. Ya3ni I believe that the age does not matter in these situations but rather (التربية) and the way we were brought up by our parents.

the consequences of implementing the segregation in classes, is leading to the lack of classes in ones major or department, which will then result in the delay of ones graduation date... or what would happen is that the student might have to take summer courses each year to graduate on time,.

So basically students are studying all year long for a mistake that they didn't commit.

انا ما أقول لا تطبقون نظام الفصل في الجامعات، و لكن إذا بتطبقونه، لازم إكون في كل الاستعدادات اللازمة، جامعة الكويت اللي اهيه جامعة الكويت مو قادرة تطبق هذا النظام في كل كلياتها و بصورة صحيحة، ف شلون يتوقعون إن الجامعات الخاصة اللي اهمه حديثي الولاده مثل الخليج و الأمريكية و غيرها إن يطبقون قانون منع الاختلاط مع مصادر محدودة من قبل هذه الجامعات

طبعا المصادر المحدودة هني اهي ان في حرم جامعي واحد، قلة الفصول الدراسية، و قلة البروفيسورز بالجامعة، مما يؤدي إلى تدني المستوى الدراسي و غيرها من المعوقات التي تواجه الجامعات من وراء تطبيق هذا القانون

i watched yes man, jim carey's movie yesterday with one of my friends, it was fine bas i could've watched it on DVD instead. the last time i went to the cinema was last october so it has been a while... i kinda felt that i missed it, was fun going there...

had this amazing meal at johny's ..... ate this rocket single burger which was just amazing....

anyways, my next post is going to be about segregation of schools in kuwait... i think you guys would just love it!

it's the weekend

the first day on the job was tuesday which was boring,, no no its was so so so boring, i was on rotations and i hated accounting a lot.

the second day was in accounting too till 3pm where i decided to take action, and i did and without any details at 3pm i took my real job the marketing department job!

today was actually fun, the more i had work the more i was having more fun... for some reason i love working and i do not know how did i stay for 7 months with anything to do!!

im really excited about this job but i'm more excited about the weekend. i have lots of things to do:

1- master nasfat il ghitra (shakli filim)

2- ashoof rab3y illy min zeman mo rayi7 lihom, not the daily friends but the monthly ones

3- get some sleep

4- visit some cafe and restaurants as usual

5- play kout, hand, nithala, sibeeta, tricks, whatever is possible

6- practice on my fake smile to make it look more real

Yes, I got accepted!

I had an interview yesterday, Thursday the 15th of January at Salhiya complex in Shuwaikh Gate Real Estate Company. I was interviewed for a marketing job at 2.30pm, finished the interview with the application and everything at 3.45, and went back home after the chairman have said:

inta maqbool mabda2eeyan bas I have to talk to the executive manager...

At around 8:15pm I had a call from the chairman himself, saying that I am accepted and I think I have to sign a contract this Sunday! I can't believe I am going to work very soon.

The best thing about this job and this company is that I am the first one to be hired with a marketing major for a marketing position. So I am basically the only person in the marketing department... I like this :P

It is so exciting to feel that I’m heading a department :P thiqa 7addi I know:P

Bas don't worry you guys I’m not going to stop blogging.. My time won't change, after midnight every other day or so :D

im going to wake up at 9am sharp, take a shower and wear my DISHDASHA which i dont normally wear, la oo ba3ad with a GHITRA!!!

im gonna print a couple of my C.V.'s to apply to KFH and Boubyan bank...

then im gonna head to AUK, pick up my transcripts, finish my brother's work since i am the one registering classes for him and stuff, going to declare his major, then catch up with some old friends...

later maybe at noonish, im going to drink some coffee with my friends at salmiya bas haven't decided where. the reason behind this is that the weather is amazing at noon oo the sun is warm..

after that i have nothing to do for the rest of the day!!! how boring is it being unemplyed!!

amazing bbq + garga

we had this amazing bbq last night, it was a bit clouded so we were worried but thank god the sky became clear.... there were a lot of things to choose from and i was the one who brought the chicken which i marinaded... the chicken was great :P

my new lucky number is 3, although it was the number 7 min gabil...

my friend is coming to kuwait not this weekend, but the weekend after, hopefully (we're waiting)

its been a while since i've argued with my youngest sister! i miss the arguing so much, its a part of my life now,, i think im gonna push her tomorrow to have my daily in take...

Day ONE of My Diet.. A Real Healthy Diet.

I’m heading to sleep now, since I haven't slept for more than 36 hours... bas before going to sleep id like to share with you my new obsession which is not gaining any weight and counting every calorie I eat.... I suffered today because I ate lots of food, fatty full of carbohydrates food.

I’m not saying I didn't enjoy bas I have to limit myself.. ya3ny my body would have fat cells for the rest of my life, its in my genes fa I have to live a healthy diet my whole life with a little of 5arabee6 once in a while!

I’m going to try to have as minimum of Fat and Carbohydrates as possible.

My breakfast is going to be a slice of brown toast with sylphide cheese

Lunch is definitely going to be a sautéed vegetables dish with chicken, meat or fish depending on my mood and craving!!!

And dinner is a salad, or itha mish-tihy akil something different I would have a small portion of mashwiyyat!!

I’m not used to this, bas I’m going to try not to drink while I’m eating , and to chew my food properly as much as I can.

i suddenly can't stop eating, im really putting a tight leash on myself in order not to eat a lot nor eating bad stuff. im trying my best to eat as healthy as possible with smaller portions than usual since im not doing any exercises lately!

Astra Lounge

I love Astra Lounge. The place is amazing, I give their food a 4 out of 5. I usually sit outside since the weather is amazing these days, not too cold. if you felt a cold breeze, don't worry there are those big heaters.

i love their Rocca salad it is just so simple yet delicious... I tried today their turkey bacon with honey mustard salad and it wasn't bad, it was actually good! bas it is a meal by itself!

They're located in Shaab il bahry, when golden chopsticks is on your left take the right turn immediately and go straight until the street ends where you'll see the lounge on your right....

If you ever decide to go there, (recommended), try their sangria juice, Manhattan, actually most of their cocktails are good...

im depressed, and i tend to eat a lot when i am. i ate today an amount of food that i can't remember when was the last time i had this much of food. i get those depression days a lot, but this time its so severe..

living room lounge ... Sushi ratings

i love the living room lounge located in marina waves. the only thing its missing is more dishes.. someitmes im there and want to eat bas there aren't a lot of choices of food.

the food is ok yet the drinks are just amazing althoguh full with sugar and calories, but thats fine i guess if its just once a week.

the weather is amazing today, so i'm guessing im going there since it's not so cold today... the best thing about this place is that in case i decide to have dinner, i have tons of restaurants next to me in marina crescent.

i'm thinking of having dinner at Kei japanese restaurant located in marina crescent next to costa coffee shop. i can say that Kei is the best japanee restaurant currently in kuwait discluding Maki from the category because i'm talking about authentic japanese food and not a mixture of disaaam likwait oo dihin ma3a il sushi!!!

i like wasabi too. try the seafood combination thing, caterpillar, and exotic roll. if you're watching your weight have the seaweed salad if not have the salmon avocado salad with extra sauce on the side. they also have a thing called califorai or something, its an appetizer, fried and delicious!!

of course if you are a beginner just go and give maki a visit, im sure it will workout. if you're addicted to it then go straight to Kei or Wasabi and have the delicious Sashimi salmon, yellow tail, octopus, and whatever your heart and tummy desire.
